Connecting with Canadian Donors is easy With Chapel & York on your side
With a reputation for generosity and a passion for supporting causes they care about, Canadian donors make a significant difference to the work of charitable organizations.
However, accepting donations from Canadian donors requires a nuanced approach.
Compliance with Canadian tax laws and regulations, navigating currency exchange and potential international transaction fees, and being sensitive to cultural differences and expectations are all crucial considerations.
By partnering with our Canada Foundation, you can establish a solid presence in the country and streamline your fundraising efforts without having to navigate the complexities of setting up a separate legal entity.
Effortlessly fundraise in Canada as Chapel & York seamlessly handles regulatory, banking, donation processing, and technical aspects for you.
Joining the Canada Foundation
In evaluating your completed application and conducting our due diligence, Chapel & York will review submitted documentation to ensure your organisation is able to receive grants/payments from the Canada Foundation.
In this process, Chapel & York makes no judgements as to the value of the work you do or the capacity of your organisation to do it. Once we are satisfied your application meets the criteria, the application is passed to the Foundation Executive Director to share with the board your desire to set up a fund. In the event of your application being rejected, you will be refunded the membership fee.
Following this, you will be sent the Agent’s Agreement and have two weeks to complete it. Once complete and signed by you and the Canada Foundation Executive Director the onboarding process will begin, and your organisation can begin fundraising.
