We offer support and information for anyone affected by encephalitis (brain inflammation) and their loved ones, as well as those who’ve sadly lost someone to the condition.

Our Helpline (via telephone, email and live chat), online Peer Support Groups, Connections Scheme and range of Events (hosted in-person and/or virtually) enhance understanding of the condition – increasing confidence and emotional resilience, improving mental health and reducing isolation and loneliness. We also provide signposting to external sources and support where relevant.

We create factsheets, resources and training opportunities to provide medical and health professionals with the knowledge to recognise, prevent and manage encephalitis effectively – ultimately improving patient outcomes. Our annual Encephalitis Conference offers cutting-edge insights from global leaders in the field of brain inflammation, covering hot topics, critical research questions and approaches to the key clinical challenges.

We fund vital encephalitis research worldwide, as well as connecting patients and caregivers with research studies to improve quality and enhance impact.
