
Emilie Compignie
Emilie Compignie brings 15 years of professional international experience in fundraising and project design. She has a BA in International Affairs from La Sorbonne and a Master in International Solidarity from the Social Sciences Faculty – Catholic Institute – in Paris. She has served for various entities internationally, both as a fundraiser and a donor. On the donor side, she has field experience, more specifically in East Africa where she was in charge of Emergency Food Aid for Somalia and Development projects in Kenya, as Programme Officer for the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On the fundraising side, she worked for different types of non-profit organisations in France, Switzerland and Canada, such as the prestigious One Drop Foundation. She launched her career as a Consultant in 2018 in Geneva. Since then, she has supported more than 20 non-profit entities in strategy and operational fundraising and trained more than 100 organisations in fundraising through a series of capacity-building workshops. She also intervenes regularly in different training modules, such as the CAS/DAS in Strategic Philanthropy at the University of Geneva. She is a coach and trainer at CICR Impacts, an international collective for capacity building based in Dakar, Senegal.
Emilie Compignie is also Switzerland Director for IFC Group, Board Member of Trees for Kenya and Chapel & York Foundation. She is a trained dialogue facilitator and an Ambassador for No Name Initiative (NNI), a South African non-profit specialised in community dialogues.
